When a more complete overhaul of the existing switchgear is required, ABB can design and install a retrofill solution.
When it is not possible to replace or relocate the switchgear, but the circuit breakers clearly must be replaced, a retrofill solution can give you the advantages of ABB's newest low or medium voltage circuit breaker installed in your vintage equipment.
After a visit to photograph, measure, and collect data on your existing equipment, ABB engineers a solution to fit your existing switchgear. Our Field Service operation can then provide a complete 'turn-key' installation of the retrofill solution. Relay upgrades can also be provided during the retrofill process.
As always, field testing is performed to assure that the retrofill meets ANSI acceptance criteria.
