New ABB Medium Voltage roadshow tour hits the road

Latest industrial-focused trailer and roadshow operation is designed to bring technical medium voltage products training directly to customers throughout North America.

Lake Mary, Florida, July 8, 2015 – ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has recently unveiled its newest industrial-focused Roadshow Trailer, which began its tour in March, 2015. The most recent Medium Voltage Product trailer is a 30-foot interactive mobile show room equipped with the latest power product innovations, allowing customers a unique opportunity to interact with and lay hands on equipment without traveling from the office.

In addition to showcasing equipment technology and solutions, starting in July, the tour will also begin travelling throughout North America for a series of technical seminars, providing a customized training program to discuss applications of technology designed to prevent personnel injury and equipment damage, ensure lower costs of ownership, and improve reliability.

“The unique capabilities of a roadshow tour are that equipment and solutions can easily be brought directly to the end-user’s doorstep. Companies can request stops for the tour, thus reducing the need to send employees to remote locations, and meetings can be personalized to the needs of those attending and enhanced from a simple conversation, to a hands-on technical and interactive experience,” said Craig Wicker, VP of Marketing for PPMV. “The roadshow trailers and the programs designed around their operation provide enhanced capability to serve our customers and meet their needs on an individualized level.”

The newest Medium Voltage roadshow trailer boasts equipment and demonstrations designed for industry-specific applications, specifically showcasing the latest ANSI switchgear and supporting solutions. Interactive demonstrations and media present in the trailer focus on solutions for industry challenges, such as arc flash safety, space saving equipment, system optimization, and reduced maintenance.

The roadshow programs and seminars offered by ABB are ideal for utility, industrial, and consulting engineers to learn how ABB brings safety, efficiency and reliability to power distribution systems.
