Gillette Stadium hosts customers and prospects, who come to see 20 ABB low-voltage product families and solutions on exhibit

Club Level of stadium overlooks Patriots’ home field, where comprehensive workshops, training and exhibits help customers and visitors with technical know how, and familiarity with ABB’s latest automation solutions

FOXBOROUGH, MA, June 28, 2006 . . . A bird’s-eye view of the entire stadium and playing field of the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium provided the background to the more than 20 ABB control, drives, instrumentation and process automation products for visitors to the "Results-Driven Power Control" ABB Low Voltage Products Roadshow here on June 28 - 29.

"Our channel partners, customers and prospects beat the traffic and arrived early to see this full range of products on display, tour the stadium, and take advantage of the workshops and training," said Jerry Corrao, district manager for the Control & Power Products Sales Team, ABB Inc.

Nearly 200 prospects and customers attended the second day of the event, and there was also many industrial distributor personnel in attendance, "who came to see how deep and wide the offering of low voltage solutions really is," noted Dennis Tulimieri, the manufacturer’s representative for the district. "We are thrilled to see this," he said, "because these distributors are critical partners in our expanding our reach to more prospects, and expanding the solutions we provide to existing customers."

People Meeting People

Twenty students from the Porter and Chester Institute, a nearby school in Westborough that trains engineers, spent the day seeing all the products, as well. "This is a real opportunity for us," said Merrill Madow, the instructor who led the students around the exhibits. "These are the products these students will begin to apply and install and operate post-graduation, so I’m trying to ensure that we see everything -- from how ABB brings power into buildings, all the way through to how it is deployed, utilized, and managed." Throughout their tour, ABB product line managers and experts briefed the group on how their products function, and what they do within the electrical chain in actual application.

The show offers visitors a close-up look at low-voltage product solutions, and the chance to talk with the product experts on all product lines that are exhibited. The Roadshow, which makes stops in key regional markets, now travels to St. Louis and Cleveland; see www.abb-events.com for a listing of all shows scheduled for 2006.

20 Sales Calls in One Stop

ABB channel partners and industrial distributors are on hand, both in support of customers and prospects, and to introduce attendees to the wide array of industrial power control solutions now offered through a single point of sales contact.

"Everyone extends what they already know and are aware of," Corrao said. "Our sales partners and distributors see, in one place, the full array of automation solutions ABB provides." The show is designed to be a powerful tool that enables distributors to make 20 sales calls in a single day in a single venue -- both with prospects and existing customers. And customers can see a wide range of additional ideas and solutions -- from a vendor they already trust.
