2012-01-25 - Event venue also affords opportunity to showcase new technology
NEW BERLIN, WI, January 25, 2012 . . . ABB Low Voltage Drives hosted nearly 1,500 guests from the HVAC industry on January 23, 2012, at the House of Blues in Chicago. Called "Connect. Network, Celebrate.", the annual hospitality event has grown to a "must attend" element of the show.
"We receive very positive feedback from guests regarding the way this event facilitates networking within our industry," noted Paul Bartunek, vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing, ABB Low Voltage Drives.
AHR is the largest event in the world, targeted specifically to the contractors, engineers, facility managers, OEMS and other professionals working within Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration in commercial buildings. More than 50,000 visitors attend from 50 states and 120 countries.
ABB has earned a deep domain expertise in the HVAC industry, and has a very significant market share in drives sales to the segment. Via the hospitality event, ABB was able to interface personnel/experts with a host of the attendees, as well as showcase ABB industry leading technology for the market. On the exhibit floor, ABB also was part of the BACnet booth, highlighting serial communications expertise.
