2010-07-15 - ABB Automation & Power World again breaks attendance records in Houston
2010-05-23 - More than 4,200 participated in premier integrated power and automation event. Next year’s conference is set to return in Orlando in April, 2011.
ABB Automation & Power World 2010, held this year at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, exceeded event attendance expectations and attracted a record number of participants for any ABB event, totaling more than 4,200 participants. This overall attendance figure represented an amazing 29 percent growth in attendance from last year, a 35 percent growth in customer and partner attendance, and a more than 50 percent growth in members of the media, both automation and power press.
ABB also announced the dates and venue for ABB Automation & Power World 2011. The event will be return to the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida, from April 19-21.
ABB Automation & Power World, held for the second time as a joint automation and power conference, has successfully integrated ABB’s two former North American customer conferences – Power World and Automation World – into one single, unique event. The three-day event in Houston was a comprehensive users conference and exhibition that showcased ABB’s extensive automation and power offerings and expertise under one roof; it included more than 500 technical workshops and a massive 100,000-square foot exhibit hall, more than the size of three football fields combined.
The customer event followed an equally energized Sales conference over the weekend (May 15-17) where the sales force from all five divisions gathered for general sessions, training sessions and All-ABB gatherings, including Monday afternoon featuring an unofficial “State of the Union” company update from Enrique Santacana, regional manager of ABB Inc., and the five regional division managers.
