Meet a Scientist

		Hi, my name is Erik Svensson and I work for ABB Corporate Research in Switzerland. I work as a Scientist in the fields of Communication and Industrial IT. I’m 27 years old and I’m from Sweden.
		I like my job at ABB because it’s so fun and it’s basically one continuous learning process. I get to work in so many different fields and I’m always confronted with new technologies.
		Currently I’m working on a project with Industrial IT which is ABB’s concept of integrating processes. It’s so exciting to work with Industrial IT because it’s a very new concept and you get to know all the different aspects of the processes within a company.
		What I like about ABB is that I can work, learn and live the way I want. We have challenging projects which are solved by international teams with different talents, opinions and backgrounds. I also like that ABB encourages you to develop professionally and that there is a healthy work and life balance. For example, you can have flexible work schedules. This is something that really motivates me to do my best.
		Although ABB is a big global company, you will find a relaxed atmosphere here, and you will also find that your work makes an impact.
