  • Q: For the A-line Contactor Accessories, What is the compatibility between new/old auxiliary devices on old B-line to new A-line contactors.

    A: The new Single Pole Front Mount (CA5-10,-01), or the new Four Pole Front Mount(CA5-40,-31,-22,-04...), can be used on the old B-line, (B9-B85) or the old control relays (K22, K31, K40, KC22, KC31E, KC40).
    A: The old Single Pole Front mount (CA7-10,-01), or the Old Four Pole Front Mount (CA7-40,31,-22-04...), cannot be used on the new A-line, (A9-A110) or the new control relays (N22, N31, N40, NL22, NL31, NL40, NE12, NE21,NE30).
    A: The new TP40 and TP180 series Pneumatic Timers can be used with the old B-line, (B9-B85)

  • Q: For the A-line Contactor Accessories, what is the functionality of the Front Mount Pneumatic Timers.

    A: The TP40DA...(.1-40sec.) and TP180DA...(10-180sec.) are On-Delay front mount pneumatic timers used in conjunction with the A-line contactors.
    A: Sequence of events at the time of coil draw-in:
    A: There is one Normally Open(N.O.) and one Normally Closed(N.C.) contact on the "TP". They immediately change states, and begin to "time out" to the set time on dial. When the time ends, the N.O. & N.C. contacts change back to the original state.
    A: The TP40IA...(.1-40sec.) and TP180IA...(10-180sec.) are Off-Delay front mount pneumatic timers used in conjunction with the A-line contactors.
    A: Sequence of events at the time of coil draw-in.
    A: There is one Normally Open(N.O.) and one Normally Closed(N.C.) contact on the "TP". They immediately change states when the contactor pulls in.
    A: -1NO/1NC built in contacts on "TP" changes states immediately. When the contactor drops out, the timer begins to "time out" to the set time on dial. When the time ends, the 1NO/1NC contacts change states or resets.

  • Q: Does ABB have contact kits for the A40 contactors?

    A: Only have contact kits for the A50 and above.

  • Q: I need a replacement coil for an EFLG80 120Vac

    A: NLA, must replace contactor with the EHDB220C-1L. The EHDB is larger and more expensive.
